Gabby Dunning LPC
Practice Manager
Gabby Dunning is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey, an International Certified Gambling Counselor – Level I (ICGC-I), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is dedicated to creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients can show up as their authentic selves and feel genuinely heard and understood.
Gabby earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has experience supporting adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and related concerns.
Her approach to therapy is client-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based. Gabby believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and works collaboratively with them to better understand patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop greater confidence in navigating difficult emotions and experiences.
When working with OCD and anxiety, Gabby incorporates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients gradually face fears, reduce compulsive behaviors, and become more comfortable with uncertainty. She understands that doing the things anxiety tells you not to do can feel incredibly difficult and approaches this work with both structure and compassion.
In today’s fast-paced world, Gabby values therapy as a place where clients can slow down, be honest, and feel truly seen without fear of judgment. She strives to be genuine and approachable in the therapy room while helping clients create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
When working with couples and relationship dynamics, Gabby uses a Gottman-informed approach to help partners better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck or disconnected. She supports couples in improving communication, navigating conflict, increasing emotional understanding, and strengthening connection while creating space for both partners to feel heard.
Gabby is deeply invested in ongoing learning and professional development and continually expands her clinical knowledge to provide ethical, effective, and compassionate care.
Gabby is currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions throughout New Jersey.
