Ava Bejgrowicz LSW

Ava Bejgrowicz is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Ava began her career in behavioral health, working across a variety of settings where she provided crisis intervention and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to best support her clients.

Ava is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves while working together to build skills that foster emotional resilience and self-trust. She takes a whole-person approach, recognizing that each individual’s experiences, identity, and needs are unique.

Ava works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, AuDHD, eating disorders, and life stressors. She has a strong focus on supporting individuals struggling with perfectionism, rigid thinking, and people-pleasing patterns, helping clients reconnect with their sense of self and make empowered, values-based decisions.

Ava is an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming therapist who is committed to providing inclusive, affirming care. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her work is grounded in evidence-based care, helping clients better understand their thought patterns, unpack feelings of guilt and shame, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

When working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Ava incorporates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients better understand the OCD cycle, reduce compulsive responses, and build greater tolerance for anxiety and uncertainty. She approaches OCD treatment collaboratively, helping clients learn to respond differently to intrusive thoughts rather than allowing OCD to dictate their choices.

Ava also works with couples and relationship dynamics, using a Gottman-informed approach to help partners recognize patterns contributing to conflict or disconnection. She supports couples in strengthening communication, navigating conflict, increasing emotional understanding, and building deeper connection while creating space for both partners to feel heard and understood.

Ava is currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions, with daytime and evening availability on weekdays.
