Alyssa Williams MS, LPC

Owner

Alyssa Williams is the founder of Wildflowers Within Counseling & Wellness and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. She created the practice with a deep commitment to providing therapy rooted in client-centered care, evidence-based interventions, compassion, and empowerment.

Alyssa earned her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine  and has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, at-risk youth, adults, and couples. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where clients can show up exactly as they are feeling seen, heard, and respected.

Alyssa believes that each person is the expert of their own life. Her role is to walk alongside clients as they build insight, develop coping skills, and move toward healing and growth. She specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem, using evidence-based approaches that are thoughtfully tailored to each client rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

When working with couples, Alyssa draws from her training in the Gottman Method. In her therapy room, there are no “good guys” or “bad guys”, only two partners learning how to reconnect. She helps couples slow down, truly listen, and shift from talking at each other to talking with each other, fostering emotional curiosity and deeper understanding.

Outside of the therapy room, Alyssa is the author of Watering Plastic Flowers, a book designed to help individuals break free from people-pleasing, over-apologizing, and feeling “too small.” She also teaches psychology at the college level, sharing her passion for mental health education with the next generation.

In her free time, Alyssa is a mother to nine-year-old twins and a teenager, along with three German Shepherds who, much like anxiety, have big personalities and absolutely no sense of personal space.

If you’re curious about whether therapy with Alyssa may be the right fit, she offers free 15-minute consultation calls—a warm, no-pressure opportunity to connect, ask questions, and explore how support might look for you.
